Emu

Este es el Emu, ave australiana que también podrás observar desde muy cerca.
El emu es otra ave corredora que no puede volar.
El macho y la hembra son de apariencia similar, siendo la hembra un poco más grande. El plumaje del cuerpo es gris. El cuello también es gris pero con una tonalidad azul, y la cabeza es de color gris bien oscuro. En el pecho tiene plumas claras que no llegan a ser blancas, las que se pueden ver cuando toma una postura más erecta de la usual. De altura logra los 1.75 metros, entre las aves que existen siendo solo superado por el avestruz.
Su alimentación básica consiste de semillas, frutas, vegetales, y flores, con insectos sirviéndole de complemento.
This is the Emu, native animal from Australia that you can find living in our region. Is a runner bird that cannot fly too. Male and female are very similar, female is a bit bigger. It´s principal colour is the grey with little different tones of blue and light colours depending of the part of the body. They are a tall and big bird, only shorter than the ostrich. They eat most of the time seeds, fruits, vegetables, flowers and also insects.
